Spring Break Zoo day

Perfect day for the zoo. 73 degrees, full sun! We met up with The McMains, who girls were on Spring Break this week. I thought B would like it if we started off with big (visible) animals. Her first zoo animal: The elephant! Her reaction: look around at everything EXCEPT the elephant- reached out to other kids quite a bit & stared at the zoo keeper who was educating the kids. She really enjoyed the manatee & all that was in his aquarium & the squawking birds throughout the zoo. I tried to lean over & let her smell the tulips in bloom but she's still working on those fine moter skills-grab the flower & try to eat it!
