B: "snakes eat mice, turtles eat salad, & frogs eat flies. I think those flies would taste better with cinnamon."
B: Mom, Mom,....
Me: Hold on Brooklyn, I'm finishing a text
B: Mom, you stop playing & look up at my face when I'm talking.
(Sean stands in the corner cracking up laughing!)
B: Girls & Boys pee & poop in their pants.
Me: If they're potty trained like you are, they go on the potty, other wise its called an accident.
B: Girls sit down, and boys stand. You help Dylan stand Mom.
Me: It's ok that he goes potty in his diaper right now honey, he doesn't understand when he has to go potty & he can't stand yet, let alone sit up.
B: He can tell you when he has to go & you can hold him up like me when I don't have a potty seat.
Me: How is he going to tell us he has to go?
B: He'll cry.
Me: How will I know if he's hungry, tired or has to go potty?
B: We have to listen verrrrrrrrry carefully.

Paddlefest 2011
Headed over to Coney Island for Kidsfest Thursday. A great free day for the kids filled with little water science experiments, animals that live near the water, paddle boats rides etc. Brought a picnic lunch & played in the park in between the rain! We were getting ready to leave & they started a Zumba session for everyone to try & Brooklyn stepped right up & tried it with them!

Happy Father's Day!
Filling out "About my Daddy" did lead to some interesting answers! After we filled it out, we went shopping for shoes & batteries as his gift! (daddy needs batteries so when her toys don't work, she won't have to wait for a store trip. smart thinkin!) We headed over to Mimi & Grampers Sunday night for a get together & got a pic of the men in our lives! Happy Father's Day to our dad's, to my wonderful hubby for all he does for our kids!

The Pool is clear!
Brooklyn is so ready for swimming! She got right in, first with arm floats, & headed towards her cousins kicking away! She kept flapping her arms up & down, which would make her sink a bit & drank enough water that I switched her into a swimming ring. Even though it didn't blow up all the way (mice thought it looked like a tasty snack), it worked better. AND, she finally learned to keep her mouth closed!
Dylan just leaned back, enjoyed the water, then checked out his reflection in the float. Weather was perfect to enjoy a little over an hour of pool time before a storm moved in, cooling off the pool with a bunch of hail.

Bull ridin'?
So, Brooklyn wanted to try & ride her bike with training wheels when we were setting up for the garage sale, & to my amazement, her feet reach the pedals better on this bike than her tricycle. (actually found her this bike helmet at our street sale too.) She asked allllllll day long if dad would help her ride her bike when he got home. So he changed clothes & headed outside. She went down the driveway 1 time, had to be less than 8 seconds, & wanted to go do something different! (like go swimming again! I can see where the bulk of our summer will be spent!)
