Childrens Museum

It's free on the final Friday of each month during summer after 4pm, so the gang headed over for a few hours today! (Mimi, Q, Aydan, Sean, B & I). The balls seemed to be the overall fave activity of all ages. Brooklyn usually loves tunnels, but refused to crawl thru the cave-like tunnels with Quinton. With age......

Oxford beach

Grammy Kay is back from her short trip to Florida & wanted to play in the sand with Brooklyn so we headed over to Oxford Beach for a few hours. They made several sand castles & played in the lake before having a picnic lunch. As always, B had a fab time!

Brooklyn is reading now. This consists of holding a book, right side or upside down, moving her finger across the words left to right & repeating "read, read, read, read'" until she flips to the next page. Super cute!

Last night, I left the dinner table before everyone else so I could go take a shower in peace. About 5 minutes into it, I knew Sean had let her down because someone comes barreling into the bathroom, opening the door yelling "LET BOOKIE IN!!!!!," and proceeds to quickly step into the shower with me, diaper & all! How could I help but laugh out loud.

I'm a big girl now

I love this pic for several reasons, mostly because her smile lights me up daily. Shes does't like to ride in the wagon for some reason anymore, but love to pull it. Nor do we wear sunglasses on our eyes, but our forehead. She's finding her own drum.

Mimi & Grandpers return from Vegas

.....and brought someone their very own super cute kitty luggage! The cat can stay attached to the bag or come apart to cuddle with, & it took no time at all for her to figure out the handle & push it throughout the house! Thanks!

making choices

Strong opinions start at an early age, especially when it comes to getting dressed. This morning, she didn't like the sandals I picked out to go with her outfit. She thought her Elmo slippers or tap shoes would be much better to wear to school/daycare! :) LOL.

We just got back from some R&R in Punta Canta (Dominican Republic). We were either floating in this GIGANTIC free form pool (which you're seeing about 1/3 of it) or down at the beach, lounging with a cocktail in hand. Yummm.....
We didn't take very many pictures on this trip, just enjoyed, so you'll have to imagine the best beach toned bodies in the world & put our heads on them! :)
By now you may have also heard, Brooklyn has some breathing issues while we were gone. She's added an asthma inhaller to her morning routine & we'll stop in to see a seasonal allergist end of August. We're leaning towards pollen & grass cutting stirring everything up but we'll find out for sure soon enough. Hey, she did learn how to count to 6 (the number of breaths she takes with her inhaler chamber.)!

So this morning we're driving to her daycare, & she starts yelling "pop weasel, mama, pop weasel!" So I ask her "pop weasel what?" since we're working on our please & thank you's. "Pop Weasel PEEASE!!!!" with a big smile on her face. So, I turn it on, & instead of hearing 'thank you,' I hear "Good Girl Mama."

How can help but smile & laugh to that?
