"Happy DaDa Day! WAKE UP DADA. "

It was 8:30am in this first picture, so he did get to sleep in! :)
We shared a great breakfast & then opened up Father's Day gifts: a new coffee maker & a pair of sunglasses. B & I had picked out the glasses on Thursday. That night, she almost called me out.....she kept pointing to my glasses on my face & saying 'where daddy glasses?" My cover was just to say he can't wear mommys' glasses! As they had a day of fun, I met everyone @ Mimi & Grandpers house for a family grillout, rounding out a great Father's Day celebration.

Meet Hudo!

Hudo is the newest edition to the Cincinnati zoo;the largest komodo dragon! It was a perfect day- heading out around 9am. Of course, we visited her favorite, the cat house & the mantees, & went thru the new dragons & jungle trails exhibits. We just missed the giraffee feeding time but we can do that anyday. After lunch, we headed out to Mimi's for an afternoon swim.

What a fun morning...

We headed out to the library to get some new books/cds. It was packed; school is obviously out! But I found out they had classes going on this morning. We tried out Toddler Time with Jenny. About 30 toddlers & parents sat in a circle listening to 2 stores. We then stood up & she turned on "Monkey Dance' & 'Hokey Pokey.' She wouldn't do the motions by herself, but as soon as the songs ended she turned to me with a huge smile & said "dance mama, dance. again." We'll be sure to come back again!
I'm all excited for tomorrow- Sean took the day off work & we're heading out to the zoo & then swimming @ Mimi's.

Prednisone is crack for kids

B started with rapid breathing around 5:30 Friday evening. We had started with her nebulizer, but didn't have the anticipated results. Thanks to the nudging of Nurse Juju, I did call her PCP, who recommended her being seen if her breaths exceeded 60/min. And so @ 11:30pm Sat. night, we (me & super-trooper Mimi) were out for a car ride.
ER had a line 6 deep, but once we checked in, they took her to triage asap, with rapid breathing & a temp of 104.4. 102 was the highest we had seen at the house. Chest x-ray showed nothing, but after some Tylenol, Prednisone, & Ammox., she was WIRED & fever free, crawling up & down the gurney & playing peek a boo behind the curtain & asking for Doc-tor Woo. They diagnosed with Pneumonia, from listening to her chest after her airways opened up a bit. Back home around 4:40am. Little buger was wide awake @ 8:10 this morning. Did I mention she didn't sleep at all at the hospital? SO happy to see her feeling better! And I am going to bed super early tonight!

What's up with this?

Out of the blue, seperation anxiety has set in when I drop her off at school. I can understand had it set in several days after being home sick, or after the holiday weekend, but on a random Tuesday?

Our typical routine is, when its time to leave, I tell her its time to go to school. She goes to tell Allie (or as she still says, AYE-YA ) bye, & we head toward the door. Various kids songs have overtaken my radio, & her current favorite is the Itsy Bitsy Spider. We pull into the driveway at school, & the tears start rollin. Get to the door & she could dangle from her clinging to my neck.

Now of course, she's stopped within a few minutes....but a random Tueday to start?

Freakin hysterical!

B & I were out of the front porch with Allie, when she starting asking for a drink. I told her to yell for daddy to come out with us too & to bring her a cup. She goes to the storm door, & yells "dada cup." Waits. "DADA." Still no response. Next: "SEAN. SEANNNNNNNNNNNNN. CUP!"

He finally came, crackin up laughing & calling her pig nose since she had her face pressed up agaist the glass. She called him pig nose right back, then said thank you for her cup! :)
