Which of these things is not like the other?

Sorry- tilt your head to the left & watch! Same meal. Few bites apart! Can you spot the difference?

(and isn't she doing great with a spoon!)

MY mom saved EVERYTHING!

While I'm not the packrat, I do enjoy the occasional trip down memory lane. Grammy Kay is in process of downsizing & I just obtained a HUGE Hefty bag of my old tshirts she kept. I put the smallest one in the bag on Brooklyn- my kindergarden t-shirt!

Counting down the years till I can go diving!

Funny stuff

So, I'm trying to teach Brooklyn how to blow her nose this morning. I hold a tissue in front of my face & say " Watch mommy blow with her mouth," and the tissue moves, right. Then (with smile on her face), "watch mommy blow with her nose," and the tissue again moves. (still big smile on her face.)

And before I can say....now you try it, She says "do eyes!"

Oh Brooklyn, eyes cannot blow the tissue, but way to think!

Noah's soccer game

Soccer just gets it's own post. So its the only game I'll get to this year since I'm (currently) working weekends. Brooklyn walked right up to the glass & yelled "Go!!!" (indoor game)
Noahs a great little player; lots of hustle. I took Brooklyn out onto the field once the game was over; she had a HUGE smile on her face, & was saying "kick, kick!" She loves her cousin Noah, & couldn't help but smother him in kisses.

22lbs

WHY is this important? Because that is the wgt requirement for her other car seat. We're heading up to Noah's soccer game here....its a sunny day & we're good to go!

No more cabin fever!

4 days of upper sixties has had us outside as much as possible. We've been up to Eden Park to see the ducks & swing, a nice walk to the library, playing basketball with our neighbor Lexi, & many wagon rides! Allie is excited too!

Is this the 24 hr virus?

Received my first call to pick a sick child up from daycare today. She's the 3rd child send home within a week. Upon pick-up, they provided me with a plastic table cloth & a warning that she will get sick on the way home. (Oh lordy, what was I about to get into.)
She did get sick on the way home, but not to the level I was expecting. After we got home & cleaned up, she played like there was nothing wrong at all. Sean & I just kept looking at each other with a puzzled face. For dinner, she had interest in about 3 carrots, one of her faves, so I knew she wasn't feeling her best. I knew that for sure about an hour later when she said "hurt" & then quickly I become her "porcelain god." Again, after clean-up, you'd think nothing was wrong with her. Wow, we really are blessed with a super happy kid!

MARCH 14th, 2010

Today, my daughter told me "No!" for the first time.
Someone was playing with the crockpot & was advised that was not a toy & to head into the living room which was a play zone. "No!" All that was need was a foot to be stomped too, she said it which such force.

And for those wondering my reaction, she was picked up & placed in the living room to play......which she responded by running right back to the crock pot.

Did she turn 2?
:)
