Do anyone have a giant bubble I can put her in?

Seriously. We were told Milk was safe. But this is the result from milk dropping on her belly from her sippy cup. Headed in for blood work today. She did great- not even a whimper.

I know its not a toy, but this entertains her the last 3 nights: playing with buckles, crawling in & making it rock.

A baby & her Da-da

Little one crawled into Sean's lap this morning & fell asleep. Too cute. Oh the things I miss by working weekends.

Whew......

I laid Brooklyn down for a late afternoon nap today since she kept rubbing her eyes. I was getting ready to do a load of laundry so I took her snack stained clothes off & was going to let her nap in just her diaper. Won't do that again! Went into her room after 15 minutes since I could hear her just playing & found her diaper on the floor & a naked baby in bed! She was bouncing up & down & crawling all over the place, happy as could be! So glad her bed didn't become a potty.

Ok, so I think its official-chocolate isn't an allergen. I let her try chocolate fondue on Grandparents day, & this afternoon I made chocolate cupcakes (cherrybrook farms) & she is still hive free- a big yeah from Mommie on this one.
Had my first choking scare today. She stuck her fingers in her mouth & jammed her teething cookie further back in her throat & turned it sideways. I couldn't get her out of her seat fast enough. Luckily I was able to reach it with my fingers & it was out quick. I could do without this happening again.
I made our fall front door wreath. Since my lovely husband said "no you didn't, you bought that," I take it as a HUGE compliment. What do you think? Last year when I was putting fall stuff away, Allie decided she'd find unique ways to get my attention. I came back upstairs to find the living room covered with leaves & Styrofoam pumpkins. I was able to salvage the wreath itself but put in all new leaves, berries & pumpkins. My first crafty project that turned out decent!

Happy Grandparents Day

A nice visit, a few cards, & chocolate fondue. What could be better?

CIncinnati Museum

Today was a Free Friday so we headed over to the Museum center, where all 3 areas were accessable. I took her down to the Childrens area first. What fun!! At first I thought she may be too young, but she pushed grocery carts, played in the sand, hit bongos, crawled thru tunnels, & made a new friend, Phin & much more! I'm sure it will be a place we head back to. The video is dark but you'll see what she's 'talking' about.

standing up

So I'm sitting down, knees up & someone is pulling up on me. Except this time, once she's standing, she actually let go! She stood by herself for about 4 secs, could have been longer, who knows, I got so excited & clapped & down she went. She did this twice tonight! Not too much longer & she'll figured out how to get from that downward dog pose to fully upright. Guess I better break out my gym shoes, I gotta feelin' I about to do a ton of chasing. :)

09.09.09

Pulled into the driveway to the smell of the grill outback. Opened the door to have my daughter playing peak-a-boo around the countertop & giggling, PLUS the sight & smell of a dozen roses on the table. What a great way to come home. Happy Anniversary, Dear; I love you very much!

I was so excited when we got home last night. Brooklyn did take a late nap, & stayed awake on the drive home from Mimi's. Fireworks were about to start in 5 minutes, & I was so looking forward to cuddling on the couch with her & watching them. Cuddle? No way! She was a bundle of energy. Crawling all over the couch-looking over the back for Allie, leaping from one end to the other full of giggles, with little attention for the fireworks! She fell asleep 1/2 way thru with one big yawn. What a spectacular show they were this year; lots of fireworks off the bridges & the soundtrack blended so well, even with a nice tribute to MJ.

Where is....

Juju snapped this one for me while we were at the zoo. It's her next big thing! Ask "where is...." & this is a likely response. Too cute. Yep, her hair is still growing, right over the ears as you can tell.
This morning, we sat outside for a bit w/ Allie. She just played with a strand of grass for a good 10 minutes. Talking to it, tickling her toes with it, then yep, tasting it, and then showing it off to the neighbors. Our neighbors' little girl who is just 7 wks older came out too. She's (Lexi)already walking, so I walked with Brooklyn down the side walk a bit with Lexi. We're trying to walk & just hold one hand, but she's a little unsure of this still.
Last night, we headed over to The Lipps for their Labor day party & had a great time. She is still a fish in the water; and not afraid to put her face in either. Now we just need to work on not swallowing the water. She & Eric shared a ride on the rocking horse together which was very cute.
Tonight is the famous WEBN fireworks. It's gets so crowded down along the river & there's a chance for rain tonight so I think we'll watch them on TV. I hope she takes a long nap today so she can stay awake to see them.

Brooklyn Helping?

She received a puzzle postcard in the mail today. So we...ok I...started putting the border together when I learned just how quick her hands are! Heaven forbid if we don't have a puzzle piece in EACH hand at all times. And it has to be a piece I've already put together too! and we must try to put them in our mouth. 1/2 hour later...the puzzle picture is of a cat- one of her favorites animals. I'm guessing we'll have one sometime, but not any day soon.
