Poor Allie

She had to be subject to yet another Halloween. It's 4pm & almost time to start Trick-or-Treat. Grandpa Obie's surgery went well this morning & the entire family is on their way here. The day isn't over yet, but it's looks like we're bound to have a little turkey instead of a little pumpkin this year! Bye-Bye October.

"Don't stray to far...."

...is what I heard @ this mornings' doctor appointment. Sat. night's discomfort, as I'll politely put it, helped me to the 95% effaced mark, still 1cm. Essentially, as soon as contractions begin & I dilate, the baby is "right there." In my fantasy world, this translates to a quick, pain-free delivery! :)

Still nothin!

A few more non-winners to annouce on date guessing: Gerald, Christina, Jason & the daddy-to-be! We'll see if Brian & G-ma Wehry gets it right today...rumor has it strange things happen with gravity when its a new moon.
I'm ready...any time now. Maybe Mimi will make spicy lasagna for Sean's family b-day dinner tonight to kick start things. :)
Thanks Sean for helping me take my boots off last night. Won't be wearing those again!

Happy Birthday Sean!

Not to mention names....but I think someone was really hoping to share their birth date with his daughter. I just received a very cute email asking of her whereabouts. :) 12 hours left to the day....we'll see what happens. Happy Birthday!!

Tick-Tock

Just got back from the doctor...who's first question to me after my exam was: "So, are you having trouble walking?" Turns out, I'm now 85% effaced, and the baby is 'way down there,' still 1cm dialated. I thought for sure I'd wake up this morning & my water would break immediatly after my odd day yesterday of sweeping the couch pillow cushions & craving an A&W rootbeer float...which by the way, I don't think I've had one since grade school!
One of Sean's friends is throwing a post grad/early birthday/diaper poker party for him tonight. Just hope he gets to go & enjoy it.

Date Guessing

I've received several emails since posting the blog poll, where one would rather guess the actual date I will deliver. Sad to announce we've got some non-winners already! 10/21-my mom, 10/22- my boss. 10/23- today is the last hope for all of the "October Elite" birthday group to have another Libra join them. Daddys' guess(as well as g-ma, & the first guess from Seans' office whiteboard):10.28, My guess-Election Day.

Have you ever received a 'fwd email' of funny things kids say? Seans' newphew wanted to feel the baby move Monday night during dinner. As he rubbed across my belly button, his eyes got big & yelled "I feel her tongue!" -Age 5.
Had to share.
This may be the last belly photo! I'm officially 37 wks pregnant-full term! Still 50% effaced, & 1cm, but the baby is beginning to drop. Looks like our 6 voters are all guessing early delivery. Am I the only one to guess late?

Three weeks out & counting

My nesting is finished. This last weekend carpet was installed downstairs, tile was finished, lots of laundry completed & the entire upstairs cleaned. And now, as I sit down to relax, I realize I have water buffalo for feet. :(
Last doc appmt showed nothing new, and I get to return for more 'space invasion' on this Wed. I'm a bit curious now to see if anything is changing yet; at times I feel a bit more pressure & my pace is slowing down. Her wiggling certainly hasn't slowed yet, unless I lift my shirt to see if I can tell if its a foot or knee...in which case she stops. Little stinker!

Doing the happy dance

As of today, Sean can also add a BS in Information System Securities behind his name. We are so proud of you!! Congratulations.

My favorite outfit

I'm sure there has been plenty of pregnant people out there that couldn't wait to come home & put on their "comfy clothes." Thank you Kensie for making your 100% cotton dress that I bought on clearance the day I found out I was pregnant. I've probably worn it every day except laundry days...and its on right now! Thank goodness the neighbors know me well enough to realize I have more than just this ONE outfit.
It's now exactly 1 month away from our due date, and I found out today that I've gained 2 more pounds, 1cm dilated, & 50% effaced. Guess its time to pack the bag, just in case.
