Yesterday was my 26 wk appointment, & I am now heading into my 3rd trimester! We're at a grand total of 13.4 lbs to date. It was a quick appointment since they mostly just scheduled me for the diabetes testing & hospital registration. Thank goodness it was fast b/c I was VERY tired. From about 3am on, I had pain in my hip flexor & muscle cramps that kept me up from there. I'm back to being a happy camper again today since I fell asleep last night around 9, and since I know I'm getting a massage today. :)

Holy Kicking Batman!

We decided to escape the 90 degree weather & headed out to see The Dark Knight with some friends. I thought I would share that I got really beat up by the baby during these 2 1/2 hours! She either really likes her action movies, or the surround sound. Either way, Daddy will be able to cover all bases in his home theatre room!

First Baby Shower

Friday night, my sister-in-law hosted a "surprise" shower.....well, I figured something was up with a twinge of odd behaviors, especially the day of! We had it early since she is ready to depart to England this week. I received several gifts not on the registry: A black lab pup from Build-a-Bear wearing the Air Force military uniform, equipped with I love you messages Mere & the boys were able to add, as well as our little girls' heartbeat. Christina also made sure that I stay trendy with her version of an 'Anthropologie-chic' diaper bag, and the future Great Grandma Wehry gave her a phone so she can call anytime! We didn't register for our crib bedding since we found one we loved elsewhere, but here's a photo of our jungle theme bedding Uncle Mark (& family) surprised us with. I'm sure Baby Kelly will sleep all thru the night when she realizes how plush & cozy her bed will be. The only other photo I can share is of my cake (Mimi & the boys made), as I was not the photographer for this event. Besides, I was too busy checking out all the cute little girl clothes, & the many items we received off our registry from our family & friends. It truly was a great time, and we are so appreciative for your generosity! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Popping

Sean & I just started our registry at Babiesrus, which you should be able to view online at this point. Thanks to all the moms out there that gave us their ideas on what they couldn't live without. We definitely needed some assistance & both agree that creating our wedding registry was a LOT easier! Sean joked & said we need to put plenty on the list to keep her entertained at home since she won't be able to date 'till she's 35! Looks like I'm getting a glimpse of protective daddy already. Here's my belly photo for 23 wks; we're starting to pop at a little quicker pace now...oh my!

Allie

Allie is our first baby & we will never forget about her. She has been with us now for over 10 years, and has definitely grown into her role as princess. As a mom already herself, she has recently decided to put me in training. I now receive my first wake up call around 4:30-5am, then again at 6:30, and by 7:30, there is no hope of laying back down unless I want to be licked & barked at constantly for play time before heading out for work. I'll have to keep a watchful eye on any baby toys with squeakers in them....sneaky little lab!

Tracy's beach bridal shower

These last two weekends have been very busy. Sean's cousin Tracy came in from NY for her bridal shower, plus 4th of July parties, & Mere/the boys going away party. Tracys' shower was a lot of fun, and I'm sure she'll be happy to see I didn't post the photo of her playing the same bubble gum game I played at my bridal shower! She'll be a beautiful bride, & I'm sad I won't be there to see her in person. Best Wishes!
