oh yeah, its definately pink eye! Both eyes were so blood shot this morning. She's a trooper & a half though, she's not itching them & is doing great with her eye drops.
NST was fine this morning as well. The monintor only showed one contraction so hoping that's a good prediction to hold for the next 24 hrs at least! Time will tell. :-)

C'on Th or Fri!!!!
So, while we're anxious to meet our son, at this point, we're hoping I can cross my legs until later in the week. Depending on which local news you watch, they're predicting ice Monday night into Tuesday morning commute. We're hoping for several days out from that b/c we're pretty sure Brooklyn woke up with pink eye this morning. Off to the doctor we'll both be going in the morning.

Sean & I both shared with each other this morning that we each thought I was going to go into labor late last night. I fell asleep in the chair around 9pm last night- sawing logs- & could barely wake up enough to walk into our bedroom. This was the same thing that happened the night of Baracks speach, & my water broke that night with Brooklyn. Alas, I am just very well rested.

We got action Jackson!
Ok, so Tues night was a bit of a rough night, so I went into my doc appointment pretty much knowing 'something' had happened. I was guessing I'd be about 20% effaced. Turns out, I'm 3 cm dilated & 60% effaced. Holy smokes, that was quick!
He had me schedule another appointment but didn't think I'd make it that long.
My NST was next, & she had to use a vibrating wand she pressed against my belly to wake him up. That sure did it, b/c I got kicked in the ribs & then had a contraction. Not as many showed up on the chart this time, but at least I felt that one.
Mimi has guessed it will be a January baby, Grandpers is predicting Groundhogs' Day (2/1), I'm sticking with 2/2. I asked Brooklyn what day brother will come; to pick a number & she said 2. Any other guesses out there? Send me an email or post on FB or here & we'll see who gets it right!
As the last time, stay tuned to the blog- this will be our updating grounds.

"The Julie Kremer Blanket"
Brooklyn has 3 blankets I'd say are her favorites, but nothing beats out the "Julie Kremer" blanket. It has to be the one she's snuggled up with when she goes to bed, when she not feeling well, & in the car on the way to school.
Tonight, she helped open a gift for the baby from Julie Kremer. I had an idea a blanket was in the box so I prefaced a few times that the contents were for BABY BROTHER. I should have whipped out the video camera for my friend, but it's packed in my hospital bag in the trunk & she was ripping into the wrapping paper saying "lets open it together mama!" The lid came off, & she gets a big smile on her face, lays her head on the blanket & says " aww...this is mine!" Brooklyn this is BROTHER's blanket from Julie Kremer!! "But I like it. We can put it in my bed." I will say, after cuddling with it for a bit, she was willing to help go put it in his bed until he comes.
He must be anxious to check out his new blanket too, b/c he is wiggling ALL OVER THE PLACE right now! Much more active than he usually is at this time of night.

NST & Ultrasound results
Had the first NST Monday. Turns out, I was carrying the 'golden child' this
morning. The woman next to me was sent Triage for continued eval- yikes. The nurse said his resting & active heart rates look good & my BP still low. She also asked if I could feel my contractions!! HUH?? (Obviously,
the answer is no!) Even though everything today looked good, I have to still
keep going 2x's a week until I deliver.
The ultrasound this morning also had good results. Normal range of amniotic fluid are 8-18. Last time I was 9.13, today I measured 14. Whew!! I should have known fluid levels would show good today, he's been wiggling all over the place!
>Baby measured in the 40h percentile last time, today 37%, measuring at 6lbs, 13oz- also good. Still thinking he'll be born before his Feb. 9th due date. Wondering now if he'll weigh less than Brooklyn (8lbs 9.4 oz) at his birth.

Another snow day!
Expecting 4-6 inches today, but thus far, the fine dusting has maybe produced 2 inches. I have learned a new version of "Farmer & the Dell" though.....

37 Weeks= Full Term
ok, 32.8 lbs later, I'm considered full term! Little Man still continues to linger in my rib cage, & Sean points out that I breathe heavy. I had been feeling more twinges yesterday & really had my first food craving for a toasted sandwhich & a brownie. After Quiznos & two stops to find a good brownie with a flaky top v/s icing later, I was super smiley & looking forward to my Tuesday morning Doc. Apointment.
It didn't start off the best when my card they gave me said 18th, but their computer read 25th. They were able to squeeze me in without much extra wait. To my disappointment, still not effaced or dilated. In fact, he asked me if I had had any late ultrasounds, which I knew right away he was concerned about something. Turns out, I'm measuring 4 weeks low again & he wants to send me for another ultrasound to make sure everything is ok. He's wants to check on baby growth, amniotic fluid levels, & his kidneys. Since I just had this done ~ 3 weeks ago & the baby measurents & kidneys all looked good, I'm not overly concerned, but not 100% at ease either. I'll also be starting NST (non stress tests) twice a week as well from here forward. Anything shows up they're not comfy with, I'll be induced. Otherwise, waiting on natural cue's he's ready to enter the world! (He might be hearing our weather reports & choosing to stay in a bit longer! lol.)

Texts from Daycare
daycare: "I just said to your daughter 'Brooklyn, lay still & go to sleep please' and she looked at me 7 said "OR WHAT?" We all had to leave the room we were laughing so hard."
Me: ROFL- what am I going to do with her!! PS- I'll be picking her up today instead of Sean & I'll be there around 5:30.
daycare: " yes, Brooklyn told us you were picking up because daddy was at home asleep on the couch!"
Me: Well, it's MLK, he is off & likely where he is! LMAO.

What's his name?
Email from daycare:
Julie,
Just need an update and I know you've told me this all before...but I just need to check so I can get all my ducks in a row. Brooklyn says her brother's name will be Dillion....very cute...approx when will Dillion be starting at daycare?
Me: OMG!!! This is too funny, & I'm going to have to keep this email for our records. We have NOT named our child yet! LOL. Brooklyn, on the other hand, has named him Dillon! :-) This is at least a name on our short list, unlike Sean, who wanted to name his younger sibling "George Washington....& she was a girl!" We'll keep you posted.
Daycare: LOL Omg! Brooklyn is destined to be a politician.....she tells us things all the time that aren't true....but she's so convincing we have to believer her! She is SO adorable and those big eyes make you want to just agree with her. She keeps us laughing all the time.

Talk about a 180!
This time, she was trying to dress herself in the hallway, ran down the hill, ran up the hill, sled with dad, sled by herself & every time, said "Do it again!!" We didn't let her go down by herself until there was a set path the sled easily stuck to; looks like a farther distance in the photo than what it really was. Anyway, we had a blast. Glad we got Sean new snow boots when we did!

30 day countdown!
Went in on Thursday for my 36 week checkup. Belly measured exactly as it should, no dilating or effacing yet. I'll head in weekly at this point. As I started to leave, he reminded me to have my bags packed! I think my bag is packed with just as many electronic devices & cords as it is clothes! LOL. Sean said he feels less nervous this go around, I'm feeling more nervous as my nose hasn't been in every "What to Expect" book & we still haven't finalized even 1 full name! I just bought a Baby Memory book on my way home last night, we're putting the bed together with Mimi & Grandpers after I get off work, & I have yet to buy a box of diapers. It'll all get done!! Now if only the weather can cooperate so we don't have a super crazy delivery story I'll be forever thankful! 1 inch of snow Friday night turned into a 4 hour traffic tie-up for Sean getting home (& cancelling girls night) since it all turned to ice on the roads. Sounds like we're expecting another 3-5 inches starting at am rush hour on Tues & making for a messy commute home again. And more predicted for next Sat? I really don't remember having such a snowy season here!
