Our first cold

Brooklyn & I are both dealing with a stuffy head & cough these last 2 days. The difference? I can blow my nose....and I don't look so cute when I'm sick. Sean isn't exactly the "bulb master" but she seems to prefer his technique for nose cleaning! He suggested I bring her into our bed, before I break my neck running into her room to make sure she wasn't choking from her awful sounding cough. (Holy cow, Is that noise every scary) Other than waking herself up, she's smiled thru it all. We are very lucky parents!

My first doll

This is her new travel buddy. I took this just before we went out the door Friday morning. By the time I get her out of the car, she's always gripping her pig-tails, no matter how I put the doll in the car seat with her!

Today, I got to visit my Daddy at work & we surprised him with some homemade truffles! I saw pictures of Daddy holding me at his desk.....Mommy wondered where her photo is. Bet Daddy's gonna get a big photo of her for Valentines' Day! Nice meeting you co-workers; thanks for saying I was a cutie-petutie. :)

Yes, she's wearing gloves, but that's so she doesn't scratch her face. I told you she loves talking to her x-mas bear, & we finally got it on video. Sorry for the delay!

A fun early morning! (note post time)

Same day, just few hours later

Ok, so "daycare" knew I was sad this morning & was kind enough to email a photo & update, saying she's having fun with the other girls, giggling, & taking her bottles just fine. In fact, as you can see, she's resting peacefully for her 1st nap in this photo, & woke up without crying. I feel much better now.
I think I'll still ask Sean to do the drop-off tomorrow, & I'll do the pick-up! :)

Thank god for sunglasses

Today is worse than the first day back to work or the overnight away; today "daycare" starts. I know she's with a friend, which is better than a room full of kids we know nothing about, but that only makes this slightly easier. There's just something emotionally difficult about dropping your child off somewhere. My eyes are 10 shades of red & getting these Dunkin Donuts this morning sure isn't helping me like I hoped they would. I'll put my quarter in the cuss-jar: Today S-U-C-K-S.

I Survived...

..my first overnight away from my little girl. I left at 4am so I didn't have to be gone 2 nights, for our annual Sales Conference. What an energy boost it was! I admit I called several times throughout the day only to hear she was just fine, & talking to the newly found baby in the mirror. Of course I called again around 10 to see if she went to bed ok without me. She did! Thinking I would now sleep just fine knowing that,I turned out the lights to quickly learned I didn't have the 'buzz' noise of the baby monitor that I am apparently used to sleeping to! Fastforward to last night 11:45pm & I was just getting home. She work up around 12:30 for a feeding & when I went in to get her- here comes the best part- she chuckled & coo'd when I picked her up. YEAH! I was missed!

Groundhog Day

Punxutawney Phil saw his shadow which means 6 more weeks of winter. Hmmm....and we got another 5 inches of snow today.
